James Peterson

Engineering Project Manager

While James has been with Permac two years, he brings more than 35 years of high tech product and process design and development to the company. Previously, James held principal and advisory engineering positions at Seagate Technology where he was responsible for product and manufacturing process design and development.

James holds a B.S. in Industrial Technical Studies and has completed graduate work in manufacturing systems, SPC and advanced problem-solving including DOE, Six-Sigma, FMEA, and lean manufacturing. He holds numerous patents related to magnetic recording head design, testing and manufacturing methods.

In his leisure time, James tears down wallpaper as part of a home renovation project. And despite the “Norsk” spelling of his surname, he says that people will be surprised to learn that he’s an “Englander.”
